E-gold is mainly used for offshore questional investments. I know I did one and happily got my investment out. E gold accounts have been hacked some many times and had funds stolen, luckily not me, there is no way I would use. Because it is so anonymous if you hack an account and set up an new bogus account you can't be traced at all.
