    Cdntrader,

Our commissions start at $15 a round turn and can be adjusted with volume and risk. If you are simply looking for the cheapest commissions, we may not be the solution. If you are looking for the best combination of reliable and sophisticated software, pro-active and knowledgeable support, and competitive commission rates we may however be. We still do not have an agreement with the Canadian government and the time frame for having one I couldn't tell you what that would be. If any news comes in we will keep you posted.

  2. So you are attempting to be registered in Canada?

Personally I prefer the new more intuitive order entry interfaces (IB TWS, JTrader) to the old style level 2 box for entering orders.

But TN would suffice as a good backup system.

    Cdntrader,

The Market Maker screen within RealTick you can use to trade Futures (in addition to Stocks & Options) is very simple and easy to use and has been this way for some time, many traders look for this type of functionality. Glad to hear you would consider us as a back-up for your current broker, if you need more information please let us know. As for getting an agreement with the Canadian government nothing is on the horizon currently. We have, however, continued to grow our business internationally so thing may change down the road.

  4. I use eFloorTrade and have been pretty happy with their service. Not the cheapest but worth the extra in my opinion.

  5. Yes I am very familiar with Real Tick and have used it in the past. Unfortunately it really hasn't progressed much since 1997. Oh well the point is moot if your not available in Canada. Thanks anyways.

    Cdntrader,

I guess it is a mute point for you trading with Terra Nova right now, that's too bad for us. RealTick, however, has continued to evolve since 1997 and will keep on improving into the future. With Version 7.4 increased Hotkeys, My Orders, Hotkeys to move to different time intervals on charts, and much more was integrated into the platform. Check it out at, http://www.realtick.com/users/marketminder.asp
A new version will be coming out in the near future with features recommended by the traders who use the software.
