I would say that unless you have worked at a few sell-side firms, no book would help you understand what the game is all about. Most of the books are either written by journalists that have an agenda (usually, along the crime-of-the-century investigation line) or by burnouts that want to prove that they have done well. Unfortunately, no one can be told what The Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.
