Sorry my post is off- topic but I would like to ask the supplement experts (Atticus and others) what would they recommand to better recover from jetlag? I work in Haiti but my family lives in Indonesia(12 h time difference). I go to visit them every 6 weeks and each time I come back from leave I am extremely tired for at least one week sometimes two. Thanks
Melatonin is supposed to be good for tricking the body into sleep mode when you're dealing with jet lag. There are some risks with long term use so you should research the pros and cons
So I have been eating these Acai smoothies for breakfast because they fill me and I read that Acai is a "super-food". Somewhere else (I can't remember, Mens Fitness ? Men's Journal ?) I read that one should be careful because some of these smoothies have estrogen in them. WTF!!!!??? Are these people friggin serious? No wonder I have been getting man-boobs! LMAO, just kidding So I check with the people that make the smoothies, and it turns out that soy milk has estrogen in it!!!???!!! The places that I get them from said that they can substitute another juice no problem. What it comes down to is this, you have to know what the fuck is in your food, otherwise you are wasting your time.
Acai fruit is not eaten locally where it is grown. It's considered a "weed". Both contain phytoestrogens (estrogen from plants). They act as exogenous mimetics to natural (endogenous) estrogen.
