If I were looking to lose weight and needed an energy boost before working out, I'd consider having a cup of coffee rather than a chocolate bar, whatever fancy name it may go by.
Really? What if it is within the caloric intake for the day? I have heard that pre workout protein and post workout protein is ok?
My gawd man, it is not even in the same ballpark. But hey, we all have different tastes. Thank gawd or we would all be after the same woman.
I'm not the science guy, but I don't see the point of ingesting protein just before working out. I've always had my best workouts hours after a light meal. And I'm not even looking to lose weight. The idea of having a sugar-rich "power" bar before working out wouldn't even enter my mind. However, I have had a regular coffee on occasion shortly before working out. Perhaps those more knowledgeable on this topic will chime in with their opinions. As for remaining within your caloric intake, I think there are better ways of doing so. Out of curiosity, could you list the ingredients of this power bar and its nutritional breakdown?
if a chocolate bar is within your caloric intake your clueless.. too high in fat too low in nutrition
