Yeah interesting but he's not as hard core as Charles Poliquin. Real men inject their anti-oxidants. lol j/p. My mother is a deli manager at Publix at one of the busiest stores in the entire company. I put her on on 300mg of RevGen Resveratrol before bed and she no longer drinks 5 iced coffees/day. She says she has unlimited energy and her skin is drastically improved (although she did quit smoking concurrently). She has tried other brands of Resveratrol but swears by RevGen which he recommended.
Some (of my) observations about the gym: 1) 75% of the people on treadmills at any one time are women, older men, or very fit men warming up for weights. 2) 75% of the people on the stairs are women. 3) There isn't a single overweight person doing weights (except me) which I find very interesting. 4) Most surprising, tons of women doing weights, even free weights, although clearly for toning and not muscle building as they are using very meager weights. 5) Imo, 75% of the people at the gym are there for aesthetics, but it is very hard to discern.
1) Women think it'll make them skinny. Old men think it'll prevent a heart attack. Very fit men do both. 2) The revolving stairs is very hard. The stepper a joke. 3) Most weightlifters are overweight. over their ideal weight, that is 4) There's no 'toning' vs muscle building. Your training is effective or it is not. 5) 100% are there for vanity reasons too.
I would say 90% -- very few people in the gym that I see who are exercising to be strong... IMO, the ones who want to be strong are there for hhhhhhhours.....that's at least my MO
Agree. Revolving stairs 'look' easy, until you try them. Only then do you appreciate why the person who is seemingly strolling up flights of stairs has their lungs hanging outside their mouth. For a fun workout, try turning the speed up every few minutes and run up the stairs. Make sure you have a couple of cardiologists on hand though.
Lots of time on pull up bars or rings. You think the stair stepper is hard? Crossfit workout of the day today - 400m walking lunge for time, knee touches ground ever step. 8:08 to do it and two hours later my legs are still quivering.
