    "Performance-enhancing substances in adolescent athletes."

    I don't think nitro is under 18.

Notice your info in the link is from 2000-2002.

This supplement has been out for 15+ years already. And they have done studies on those who have taken it for 5 years straight with large doses.

Also notice I advised not loading it and taking huge amounts like the vendors advise.

Most vendors advise taking 5 grams everyday day for maintenance which is 150 grams roughly a month. I see great results only taking 2 grams only on days right after a workout which equates to only 24 grams a month. I also advise taking it for 4 weeks on and then 4 weeks off.

"Clinical situations, however, do exist where low doses of creatine have been used for several years with no signs of adverse side effects. For example, Gyrate Atrophy is a disease of the eye (retina) that is characterized by progressive narrowing of the visual fields. A secondary component of the disease is a deficiency in creatine synthesis. Consequently, this disease is also characterized by a reduction in the size of fast muscle fibers. Creatine supplementation has been shown to alleviate the muscular symptoms associated with this disease, although the visual symptoms persist. Other than mild weight gain, however, low doses of creatine (1.5 grams/day) when administered for the duration of several years produced no obvious adverse effects."

Because if you eat 2 pounds of red meat everyday you are going to have worse health problems. Used in moderation this supplement is very safe. Ask around where you workout and see what the trainers say about it.

  3. Check out Charles Staley EDT, escalating density training (There are free descriptions on the net, my son read the book and said it was good also), don't know if anyone has mentioned it here yet. I did it about 10 years ago in my early fortys and got strong as shit. The workouts don't take long but are very intense. I got stronger than I've ever been in my life and I've lifted a lot when I was younger and I looked better too. Also the Tabata cardio is good for a quick efficient fat burning workout.
let us know how it goes.

Has anybody noticed that there are as many "systems" to lose fat, get eight packs, get a flat tummy, etc etc etc, as there are trading systems and opinions on the market. And yeah, all in a ten minute work out too!

I am not being cynical. It seems to me that just about any simple physics that burns more calories than you take in, must lose weight.

I do know that there are better more purposeful ways to do anything. Two people working equally hard don't get the same results, even when normalized for genetic makeup. But geesys, this exercise thing is almost a religion!

  5. Yeah I've noticed the same thing.
The Tabata workout I posted about has some science behind it, pretty impressive really. Tabata is the name of the scientist who came up with the routine.
The other one from Staley is just a routine I used and liked. I don't know if it is really good or I just thought it was.

This is Clarence Bass website, a guy who has been walking the walk for decades. I think he is getting close to 70 now and has an amazing build and fitness level.
Lots of honest discussion on diet and exercise without the usual my way is the only right way. I haven't read any of his books but his web site is very informative with intelligent and scientific discussions on fitness and weight lifting.
