Ok, I think I'm gonna have to start backtesting my strategies if I actually want to make money. I suck as a programmer. What's the best software to use as far as ease of use and cost? I get the impression Tradestation is the most commonly used software, should I just get that? I've also heard good things about Esignal and StockWatchPro, how bout those? Any advice? What would be the best combination of charting and backtesting? How much do the consultants charge at Tradestations for writing strategies? Is it worth the money?
