Comodo is the best I've used and I've tried quite a few over the years. Just keep it up to date and do a weekly scan and you'll be grand.
although i've said this before, it can't be repeated often enough: MSE + firefox (or chrome) + adblock + noscript = elimination of 99.9 repeating% of problems. remember the PICNIC acronym - problem in chair not in computer seriously there are enough expenses in trading - you shouldn't pay for AV when MSE plus the other ones listed above are just as good. and don't even get me started on norton.
Thank you Volente, I also only download software from cnet. I was referring to a website which you can upload a file to be scanned online and it uses multiple security programs. At the time of my post, I recalled using one in the past which was recommended by an individual I trusted, but had forgotten the name of the site. Was hoping one of the trusted ET tech guru's may have been able to make a recommendation. Didn't receive any response, and after some minor googling found two sites which appeared safe http://www.virscan.org/ https://www.virustotal.com/ McAfee siteadvisor stated they were tested. http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/virscan.org/summary/ http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/virustotal.com/summary/ Google acquired Virustotal, so feel confident in using it http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericsavitz/2012/09/07/google-buys-virustotal/ Just an update to my inquiry in the event someone else was also interested
This is why you don't get conned out of $500/year. http://theothermccain.com/2012/11/1...ur-last-4-million-hallucinogens-may-seem-fun/
