the old man for TD waterhouse- i can't stand that guy- when he talks he sounds like he is constipated- ehhh, you want ehh crystal ball, go to the circus, ehhhh you want investment advice you can trust, T D Waddehhouse.....wait I have alzheimers- what was i talking about again??
"You want low commissions and fast executions on Nasdaq stocks? Ehhh go to IB. You want to get raped on commissions, lousy fills and have to earn your way into streaming real-time quotes? Ehhh TD Waterhouse."
You ain't kidding there. I had the bid trade through my limit price to sell while I had a customer service rep on the phone from TD. Closed that account. IB is just unbeatable for small investors and traders. The more I use them the more business I want to give them.
The commercials are uninspiring, but the catch phrase "the greatest risk is not taking one" has helped me through some "paralysis through analysis" trading decisions. Also, the obtuse Audi ads may not be effective, but the background music is great.
I can't stand that commercial where the lady say: "it became her goal, with unwavering attention". Like it would matter if she wavered?, like someone would know? Seems all these Analysts with their fictious Chinese Walls between them and their traders have been doing nothing but wavering
TD Waterhouse is a really bad commercial They should call the firm: TD Slaughterhouse Those rat bastards cost me about 5 grand when they messed up a transfer of an IRA. I laugh everytime I see those commercials and think of the lambs being led into the nice big dark building where they don't come out the other end alive. Later, Cracked
One of the benefits to the DYN fiasco - an end to this memorable commercial: "Please pass the potatoes - I think they're in Chicago." That nutcase Dynergy woman needed a straightjacket.
That Fainting Goat Cybertrader ad is the absolute best. Someone here goes by the name Fainting Goat and I didn't know what the hell that meant until I saw this TV spot. The way those puppies just roll over and play dead, with their paws in the air - love it! Lord knows, I've had that feeling more than once when a stock chart sets up for an entry and I just sit there frozen.
