This is exactly the type of nonsense that got Trump elected. Democrats seem utterly determined to give Trump four more years. It’s hard to imagine an issue that would alienate Rust Belt working class voters more. Pension plan and 401K administrators will surely weigh in on the costs, and the idea of a massive giveaway to certain delinquent college kids who chose shit majors is going to rub a number of voters the wrong way. Look at how a jury of ordinary Ohio Citizens decided on the Oberlin College lawsuit.
There will be no “center” aspect left to Joe Biden. Any moderate tendencies he once had are currently being eviscerated by the Democratic Party purity test. I like Yang personally, but he ain’t going to get the Dem nomination. Neither will Tulsi Gabbard, who I also like. Even though it was moderates who gave the Dems the Congress in ‘18, there’s a race to purge them out of the Party.
More so the push from US government to parents to push kids into college which created an oversupply and it becoming almost a must have....... I was one of those kids-who had parents tell me get good grades to go to college....but they never told me anything else XD. Thankfully I went to a CC and transferred and graduated with no debt But Bernie can go eat a d_____k

Thankfully I went to a CC and transferred and graduated with no debt Eitherways the US dollar is headed for devaluation currently. I don't see the need to erase the debt when they will be paying the debt back with significantly devalued US dollars...
Also as someone who used student laws for post graduate degrees, there is loan forebearance, deferments and several opportunities to rework the debt, not sure why people are panicking so much on it after graduating. they throw a lot of options on your to make payments bearable and stretched out until you are better off or finally find a way to make your English Lit degree earn money at SBUX.
The facts are almost not the issue in the next election. The question is will the proposal - which could become part of the overall Democratic agenda - swing a handful of red states. 20 million more Dem's voting in Blue states won't amount to any difference. Swing a coupled million in Red states and you now run the table. Sad commentary that the facts are not an issue.
It is a shame this is the truth. When I watched Andrew Yang I knew the second he started to talk intelligently about economics there was no chance of him getting the nomination. Both parties want to run their most extreme candidates, and if horseshoe theory means anything, 2020 is going to be a wild ride.
I am seriously starting to doubt it. Any Dem Pres Candidate who survives the nomination battle will be so left of center and so purged of any moderate centrist policies and goals and stated ideologies that I’m not sure anymore. Common working class voters are smart enough to ask how the hell to pay for “The Green New Deal”, Reparations, Tuition Loan Forgiveness, Medicaid for All, UBI, and all the other free shit Dem Candidates seem compelled to try to buy votes with between now and the election.
