A wealth tax is even more idiotic than a transaction tax. How do you measure someone’s wealth? Their bank balance? So just buy jewellery and art and stick it in a safe.
Their business net worth. That’s impossible to value unless it’s on the day it was sold to a willing buyer? Same goes for property.

I’m not 100% capitalist and think there should be no taxes. Roads, infrastructure, hospitals, schools are a good thing. And i also think the middle class should stop paying for the Uber rich and they should pay a bit more. But these proposals are designed by idiots for idiots...which is why I fear they will get through.

They are a good thing if constructed and paid for by private companies.

Basically every Dem candidate except Tulsi is for giving free health care and free college to illegals (aka undocumented in today’s PC works).

That is a dangerous game to play.

What’s next?... free health care for the entire world, paid for by the US tax payer?

"Free" health care + open borders sort of fits that bill.

Kind of reminds me of ‘group projects’ in school. 4 kids in a group and 1 does all the work. Prospecting the remarks given from the 1/4 v 3/4 are very easy; given I’ve been in this situation before...

1/4: “I should get the A. I did all the work and analysis.”

3/4: “We are a part of the group.”

...that’s how it goes most times. The socialists are the 3/4. Hell, Bernie is the 1 of the 3 that sat on their phone trying to figure out what class it is in the first place.

so, to pull this thread back to 'trading' related a little bit.. lol.

this is where a fake news feed back loop can really throw people off. you'd think these candidates are not stupid people... but how did they get to this position... so far to the left there is no chance to gain the swing voters without significant flip flops from their primary positions... and how are they so sure this is gonna win the primary anyway?

when people are disconnected from reality, they start to look for confirmations to stay disconnected.... are these people really basing their positions on social media feeds? this is like political mass suicide.

and again, for traders.... it is essential to remove any internal conflicts... conflicts that may be hidden due to the fake news confirmation... it is a self soul searching that must be done to get back to reality.... that's when a trader will be able to see and unfold stories correctly.

Not sure what your point is? Are you saying Bernie and co are following the social media tribe so unlikely to be a problem so don’t worry about the tax.

Or that we the traders have got the wrong end of the stick as to what the tax is ?
