probably cheaper for society to let him pay for his own healthcare and shit.

  2. Dying? Really we're *all* dying aren't we? Like Moe Green from the Godfather, Bernie's probably been dying from the same ailment for decades.

As I recall, Bernie was accepting new clients recruited from his synagogue with the unwitting assistance his rabbi. He made fools of otherwise innocent, unassuming people and stole the savings of little old ladies and charitable trusts. This is not an exaggeration.

He can stay right where he is.

I would say it is more dangerous for him to be outside.

If you're unjustly imprisoned/enslaved, death is liberty -- a gold-plated, total-access non-refusable "Fuck You!" card to your tormentors.

If you're guilty, death is you dying while never tasting free air again.

Bernie will do/say *anything* to not have his last breath taste of incarceration.

    Fuck 'im.

You don't need to go to some special bunker in a hospital for dialysis treatment. You can do that shit in a small room, anywhere. Like at home. It's just a couple of tubes and a pump.

I believe the prison system has rules against such unless the small room is a medical room where they typically treat patients...a room approved by the health authorities.

I have a friend (older guy in his 70's...a friend of my old man). He gets his dialysis at home. Thus, that small room you mention must be suitable but I believe its against the rules whereas Madoff is located.

Problem Solver - Send his ass to another prison (there's many) that does dialysis within the prison...give him extra visitation hours from family / friends. :D

He should not be given any special treatment just because he's dying. Yet, if he was unconscious, coma, lying helpless on the prison floor, swelling all over his body and persistent nausea...get him medication attention if the prison doesn't have proper medical staff to deal with it.

If he was someone else that's not a high profile felon...they'll be laughing at him with such a request.

As to that point, yeah, if the guy is really needing medical attention, I say let him die. He destroyed hundreds (thousands?) of families by trying to cheat them out of their hard-earned money, and betrayed humanity's trust. Asshole he is.

I was just being all technical on dialysis treatment specs. :)

Here's how Bernie Madoff should spend the rest of his living days... Being forced to have this video on his screens, wherever he is, looping 24/7 until he is dead. That guy is a real dirtbag. Scum sucking leech who deserves no quarter.

He is old enough that Medicare not him will pay. So we pay, one way or another.
