When the rich are no longer fucking the middle class and the poor life will be better for you too Max.
I don't see it happening. Democrats only make up about 30% of the U.S. voting base, and over half of them identify as moderate or conservative. Sanders may very well win the candidacy, but there's no way he'll garner enough support from centrists to win the general election. IMO, If Sanders wins the candidacy, Trump will win a second term.
The stats are approximate, but they should be fairly accurate. https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/06/26/facts-about-democrats/
When polls ask directly if they will vote for Trump or Sanders they overwhelmingly say Sanders, since 2015 Just because someone identifies as moderate doesn't mean they will vote Trump or stay home thats why there are polls that ask directly who you will vote for and those polls have been right the last 3 presidential elections.
the july to jan flip is worrisome. I reckon ppl are idiots and buy into the "trump wins impeachment" narrative & the inflated stock market numbers
If Bernie becomes president, especially by 10 million votes as you suggest, then so be it. I pity those who vote for him expecting their lives to improve, only to figure out years later that history repeats itself again: Socialism and other economic systems that are not incentive based inevitably fail. The big boys will have moved their money offshore well before Bernie Sander’s inauguration, leaving the US’s financial system all the weaker. That is just the start. Talent and the driven will eventually follow the money offshore, leaving the US economic prospects, among other things, even weaker still. All the big plans Bernie has are just not realizable in the real world because the big money boys will find other countries who will welcome them, their talent, and their money. I saw a poll on, ahem, Fox News, that says 65% of Americans expect Trump to be re-elected. The oddsmakers show Trump being increasingly favored as Bernie Sanders continues to romp the Democrat primaries. Even more interesting is for all the years of negative and biased press coverage of Trump, the two impeachment votes with one successful, and Trump’s high profile screwups, Trump continues to grows stronger, with his job approval ratings at all-time highs as President. Americans feel better about the direction of our country, probably due to sustained economic growth, strong job market, increasing equity markets, and the winding down of our overseas wars. Perhaps the greatest impact is on Independent voters and their sense that Trump best represents their interests as Americans. Trump appears to be gaining recognition among Blacks and Latinos for doing a decent job as President as they enjoy a unprecedented strong labor market for minorities. Should Trump be re-elected, all is actually not lost for Democrat supporters because Trump has been less partisan that either Bush or Obama. Wouldn’t it be great if during Trump’s inauguration, he walks over to shake Nancy’s hand and says to her: “Want to work with us this time around?” and Nancy shakes Trump’s hand back and say: “Hell yes”! Think of what could be accomplished if both parties worked together towards common goals: Actually represent the interests of the American people. Each party has different philosophies on how to achieve things, but when we work together, instead of fighting each other, we are more likely to reach common ground. Supporting and voting for Trump is progress; Supporting and voting for Sanders is history for our way of life.
