This news ranks up there with dog bites man.
Bernie doesn't have the stomach for a tough fight. He could have taken this to the convention and at least TRIED to get some of what he says he believes in put into the convention planks.
He folded like a cheap deck chair...again.

  2. That was when the probably outcome was settled but not a determination of when he would be leaving the race.

As over-discussed, Bernie wanted to run all the way to the convention to agitate with his squad buddies for platform changes, the future of the progressive movement, and just to have lots of street theater without regard to the fact that he would not be the nominee. Ain't nobody got time or interest in that now due to circumstances. Street protests and convention theatrics over the internet.........well.....womp.......womp. No going to work. So no, super tuesday did not determine an earlier drop-out. Corona did.

  3. That point is not without merit.

In fairness to the Comrade though, he lives and dies off of his style as a 60's era protester and agitator. I dont know how the hell he can do that over the internet or at a "virtual convention." I don't know how Joe can conduct a campaign in that environment either. So far the answer seems to be that he can't. In the coming days though there will be massive ads running for Joe which will boost him back a bit. But at some point people want to see the man not the ads. People need to see Joe to be able to follow how much he has declined this month.

Trump is not unscathed either. His massive rallies are history now and so that blows that element right out of the picture. But he still has the largest platform in the world, and he is not playing foosball in his basement like Joe.

  4. Assume no corona and he stayed in...he would have kept getting his ass kicked in primaries and limped in with no support whatsoever....no bargaining power...and no need for Biden to work with him since he would have outright delegates to win nomination and Bernie would be marginalized.

the only people who thought Bernie had power past Super Tuesday were GOP strategist hoping for a messed up convention...but saner minds had it called correct I believe.

  5. That all may be true but I keep saying again and again that the issue of whether Bernie would have won has nothing to do with when he would drop out. He wanted to run all the way to the convention and do his little street theater there. This is his last hurrah. He wants to be remembered as the father of American socialism, the father of universal healthcare, the karl marx of the American Progressive Movement and all of those things that commies love. As discussed, ain't nobody got time for that now and he has no platform for it with all campaigning shut down. Nobody wants to see Joe or Bernie on skype.

Right...way to hedge on Statistical certainty. Yes, i'm sure Bernie would've swooped the remaining southern states.

  7. Bernie still playing games.

Says he has suspended but won't free up his delegates.

    Tell me why that is.

Now it's clearer than ever: establishment Dems' top priority is sabotaging progressives to maintain their own power.
