  3. bernanke isn't perfect but it just seems like some want him to do the equivalent of repealing gravity. there is only so much you can do when you take over in the middle of a mess about to happen.

i saw some guy on cnbc a couple weeks back saying the market is down and that proves we need cuts. ????

a lot of money managers and brokers that make more in rising markets want that greenspan put.

the feds mandate is to control inflation and sek maximum employment to the best of their ability. there is only so much you can do there.

  5. "Preventing inflation and economic crises" is only rhetoric.

The FED's mission is to create business cycles to benefit the few at the expense of many.

I do not understand how anyone can fail to understand that the federal reserve chairman is performing his intended function brilliantly: he is simply performing it as he was truly intended to do. He no more works for the people of this country than does Warburg, Rockefeller, Gould, or Rothschild. This was all foretold:

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of

their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and

corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of

their property until their children will wake up homeless on the

    continent their fathers conquered."

    -Thomas Jefferson

that is clear enough, is it not ?

  8. Pabst is right. Really the fed should be concerned about maintaining the value of the currency. All this talk about deflation and great depression is completely baseless and stupid.

A credit crunch could be nothing if there are global food prices. Oil is almost 100 again!

  10. Impeach? LOL.

You need to get your head out of your a$$ and realize that you know a lot less than you realize.

Can't impreach the Fed chair or anyone at the Fed. It is a PRIVATE INSTITUTION.

And besides the point, anyone who thinks Bernanke or Greenspan or whatever sole individual that happens to have the title of Fed Chair has any real power over the US dollar, is only showing how naive they truly are.

At the end of it all, you only have yourself and your ignorance to blame.
