    LOL, there arent enough mcdonalds locations in the world to employ all the newly unemployed rig pigs, there is about to be alot of jacked up trucks on the market for sale in Alberta. :D

    You've correctly predicted one downstream effect, but as you're at a remove you've mistimed it: this sector has been contracting for nearly a year now. The best trucks are gone. I know, I wanted one to put a plow on and devote it to snow this year (if we get any).

    I like to think the Canadian public understands the futility of austerity during a recession, and they are in a recession, so that's why they have, politely of course but decisively, thrown Harper out. His ideas are for another time, when demand is high, capital is scarce and deficits are crowding out investment.

  7. Yes, No matter how stupid democrats are, republicans can always be stupider. Once again they have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. But however you cut it, on 9/11 two weeks before an election, we, the American People were told it was just a riot and not a coordinated 9/11 attack. And then after the election and all the lies the truth started dribbling out.
