  1. From the new SIC report:

FINDING #9: In finished reports after September 11, 2012,
intelligence analysts inaccurately referred to the presence of
a protest at the Mission facility before the attack based on open
source information and limited intelligence, but without sufficient
intelligence or eyewitness statements to corroborate that assertion.
The IC took too long to correct these erroneous reports, which caused
confusion and influenced the public statements of policymakers.

The State Department and Hillary are fully to blame for not taking action

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/media...d-at-new-york-times-graham-mccain-181353.html

"The latest snow job came in December from The New York Times, that ever-reliable surrogate for the Obama administration, which published a long report, ‘challenging’ some key facts about the Benghazi attack," McCain said. "But as Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan used to say, everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not their own facts. And facts, as the saying goes, are stubborn things. In reality, what the Times report does is propagate myths."

Nah, they need something original. BSNBC already has that distinction.

And the funny (and yet sad) thing is the reporter of the article will probably end up getting the Pulitzer for this piece of fiction.

Who do you think runs it? Hillary was the Secretary of State and Obama was her boss.

  7. A distinction without a difference, unless you're politically bias. Clinton, in her mind, had one role in her job, which was to build her 2016 campaign. Log lots of miles, meet lots of people. That way she could stand on a stage and ask her opponents, have you met these people? Have you been there? I, the great Hilary, am the "most traveled" Secretary of State in history. We'll hear that a few thousand times before it's over, with a press corps only to happy to comply.
The result of all this resume' building was a complete failure to provide proper oversight in her department, which resulted in missing what should have been, and was obvious to anyone concerned enough to be paying attention. She couldn't be bothered with such things. She's got the 2016 campaign to run for christs sake, which started the day the DNC chose Obama in 2008. She's been campaigning ever since, and only a fool would have expected Obama the clueless to be doing anything but flashing his pearly whites for the nearest camera. The consequence was a completely preventable terrorist attack in Benghazi had either of the two been on the job.

  8. I agree Captain, but I also think they are a bit more culpable.

After all, it was their "Arab Spring" policy which put Muslim Brotherhood thugs in charge in Egypt after undermining a US ally of 30+ years and which toppled Khaddafi. As we had already learned with Saddam Hussein, sometimes it's easier to get rid of a tough guy than it is to do the job he was doing of keeping terrorists and thugs in check.

The unstable situation in Libya was totally the responsibility of Obama and Clinton. It was madness to even have an Ambassador there, and to send him out to Benghazi without proper security was a fool's errand or worse. And what was he doing there? Apparently meeting with the Turkish Ambassador about arms smuggling to Syria, another place we should have steered clear of.

Of course, Obama and Clinton compounded the matter by failing to send help to Americans under fire, then lied repeatedly, even to the victims' families, about the tragedy. In a rational world, both Obama and Clinton should have been forced to resign or been impeached. Instead, they act like they were heroes and the NY Times runs a fantasy article designed to insulate Hillary.
