  1. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I think 'faith' and 'knowing' have gotten some confused on
this board. Some seem to think, if I'm getting this right,
that having faith that Jesus is alive is like having faith that
the weather forecast is correct or the cable repair guy is
really going to come tomorrow like I was told.

I know Jesus is alive. I know Heaven exists. I can't really
call the above a matter of faith. If someone wants to be
saved from Hell there is no way to force yourself into believing
that you have a spirit within you. Either you know or you don't.

ljmlmvlhk, it's all up to God what He wants to do. I would suggest
talking to Him as a first step. If you don't know He exists or not,
tell Him that. The Gospel of John on-line is here also:

  2. do you bible thumpers ever think logically? if this imaginary father can not accept imperfection can he accept himself? according to his own book he created imperfect humans.

Gene Roddenberry We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes

  3. The existence of God can not be proven.
Because of this, for many, they stop before they even start.

In both religion and trading, without proof it would be wiser to keep out than have to get out.

  7. Actually, Stephen, you are getting way ahead of the conversation. For the most part, we are discussing the validity of believing in 'God": Jesus hasn't even come into the equation yet.

At this point we have discussed two belief's: (1) God created the universe and (2) the universe needs no creator. As an aside, but much more importantly, is there "existence after this life". (I assume that all of us agree that, when a person fails to respond to stimuli, that he/she is dead).

The idea that we need/want a Jesus to 'save' us is grist for another discussion. Many of your fellow citizens beleive that they were born 'O.K.' the first time.

While others may waste their time arguing whether the word 'atheist' means: 'I do not BELIEVE in any gods/supernatural bengs' or whether it means "I do not ACKNOWLEDGE the existence of Gods/supernatural beings'; be assured that the word is clear and unequivacal: 'atheists' do NOT believe in any supreme creator (or other supernatural phenomenon). A 'soft' atheist is an agnostic; end of discussion.

Religion: I find it difficult to express my thoughts over this, but my opinion is it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, that’s all what you hear. Blah blah blah, constantly, continually.

I say, lets see the product, the results, the actions, the very happy endings.

Instead all I see is fighting, squabbles, accusations, fear, guilt, cliques, splintering, back stabbing, families divided, poverty, naivety, ignorance, jumping to conclusions, within religions. Any peace is usually short lived.

Even these so called ‘Holy Spirit’ Pentecostal revival church meetings where everyone falls over, when it comes to going home and weeks later, are we seeing or hearing about miracles ?
    No !

Granted, the ‘non believer’ also fights, but at least we are not pretending to be led by God and have this superior edge over the ‘sinner’.

Yes, Yes---- WE were present at each and every one of those events. My servants gave ME much glory and praise as these deeds came about.

You are "sorry"?? Well, surely Vehen, your humility is inversely proportional to your intense self worship. Very useful in dealing with the humans.

  10. It took my deciples about 20 cycles of birth and death more before finally going through the door of truth. Exodus from time is not through death, but through a choice for truth. You presume they were ready and willing to follow me back then. Verily, they were not. I am the way, the truth and the life, not a national messiah.

Believing I'm alive and following *the Way* are not the same thing. Knowledge is an attribute of the Kingdom only. You threw it away to wander off. On your *Way* back, you do not "know" anything. On your way back, you use faith in truth [knowledge] to correct your perception. Once your perception is aligned with knowledge, the last short step back to knowledge is taken by our Father. Till then, there are two major divisions of perception: The world you currently see with "eyeballs", and another world entirely seen as with mind, and without bodies. To see this other world, you must see it with the eyes of Christ. Till then, you are "blind", and not yet "righteous"... as in, right perception. To see it, you must let go of your desire to see bodies, and accept the Atonement for yourself.

Again, nothing is known in hell. Hell is a belief. It is percieved. If you can read this, you are in hell. I can't force you to believe that. Either you believe me or you believe you. Believe me, and we can begin with *the Way* back, the way you came.

    Jesus
