  1. Can you imagine the ignorance level of someone who asks you to provide a formal proof for a negative?

  2. And it always comes to this with you guys. Talk about a cop out. Unable to prove your theory, you self proclaim your great intellectual power.
There is a proposition that most rational people agree on, including scientists, which states that, whatever begins to exist has a cause. You seem to take the "absurd Proposition" which claims that, "something might arise without a cause, that the universe, in this case, should pop into existance uncaused out of nothing".

  3. how much intellectual power does it take to understand that if something does not exist there can be no evidence of it either for or against? can you provide formal evidence to me that santa clause doe not exist? how about zues? how about thor? how about little green men from mars?

  4. Then the question must be asked, how much intellectual power does it take to understand that if something does not exist, which is your claim for what was going on prior to the creation of the universe, that there can be no evidence of it either for or against?
So let's be clear. You are saying, that from something which did not exist and cannot be proven, the universe as we know it, suddenly, and without cause, sprang in to being. And you call the creationists goofy.

  5. evolution is a fact, and that's a fact. if your not going to accept a fact, this or any other ACCEPTED fact, then you'd better have a dern good reason lest you be labeled irrartional fool:D

  6. so. you dont think it goofy to believe it was done by magic? who made the magician? you think belief in magic is intellectual?

  7. What I think goofy is insulting other peoples beliefs when yours are just as absurd. It's all magic until science proves otherwise. I suppose a Bic Lighter would be magic, even today, to some native in a far off land. All I'm saying is that the science ain't all in just yet, so let's have some mutual respect for other people's beliefs, and quit claiming to have all the answers.

  8. you get no respect from me about your beliefs until i see the word evidence in your claims.

The way to deal with superstition is not to be polite to it, but to tackle it with all arms, and so rout it, cripple it, and make it forever infamous and ridiculous.--- Henry Louis Mencken

  9. I don't dispute evolution. I dispute the something from nothing theory of creation itself.

  10. you guys are funny. you insist on a first cause unless its skydaddy. he doesnt need a first cause. are you smarter than a fifth grader?

Chapman Cohen: Gods are fragile things; they may be killed by a whiff of science or a dose of common sense.
