  1. Hope and pray that survivorship-bias is leaning your way.

  2. Funny, I think we shouldn't take stabs like that in the dark. Look at CEOs, how many of them are money hungry? How many are saints? Look at athletes. Look at politicians. You need something to drive you, the one who says "I want to rule the world" might just get his wish. A monk settles for bread crumbs and is happy.

Btw I think this is a very fascinating discussion. To quote Oliver Stone's masterpiece(praise artists everywhere in that they GIVE instead of TAKE)

    ------
The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed -- for lack of a better word -- is good.

    Greed is right.

    Greed works.

Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.

Greed, in all of its forms -- greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge -- has marked the upward surge of mankind.

And greed -- you mark my words -- will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA.
    -------

Half the people agree, the other half disagree. That's the beauty of it.
