Hello everyone I am new to EliteTrader and I am trying to get used to everything. I am 19 years old and I am a runner down at the CBOE right now. I have traded stocks for about 3 years, and I have recently began trading options. I am so happy that I have been exposed to options trading. Their are so many different strategies involved, and ways to play the market. Just to give you guys an idea of where I am right now here are some trades I have played with so far.

    -Bear Call Spread
    -Bull Call Spread
    -Bull Put Spread
-Long Stock (Wrote OTM Calls against my stock)

I am here to absorb everyone's knowledge from this forum. It seems that their are a lot of experienced traders here. The reason I want to be a trader is because I enjoy every aspect of the market. I am well aware of the risks associated with trading and I accept them all. My state of mind is optimistic and I never give up when I want to accomplish a goal. When I take losses on my trades, I always find positive things out of it. Such as the fact that I can write them off on my taxes, and once I profit again it will feel even better. Anyways, I look forward to talking to everyone on this forum and learning as much as I can. Thanks guys!

  2. Looking forward to seeing your journal. Although, maybe post this in the journal section?

Also, looking forward to see how you handle adjustments to your option trades and hopefully we all can learn something.

  3. A lot of wisdom is in the legacy threads, it seems like a lot of the veterans don't post as much, imo.

    Do this:

    1. Go to the Options forum homepage.

    2. Click 'Views' so the threads are sorted by amount of views.

    3. At the bottom of the page you'll see,

'1 - 20 of 6713, sorted by number of views in descending order, from last day.

change last day to the beginning.

That will put all the big options threads from the beginning of time on your front page. Obviously not all of them are must reads, but anything from atticus, Maverick74, optionscoach, dmo, spindr0, Cache Landing and other guys is worth reading. Just my 2 cents.
