  1. Just wondering if anybody could lead me in the right direction. I am just starting to study the L2 screen and seem a little overwhelmed by volatile stocks. I was wondering if anyobody knows any good beginner stocks and the market makers to watch. thanx a lot..

  2. do a screen to find highly liquid stocks with low volatility and small spreads, i.e. listed stocks where there is no level 2. If you must do nasdaq look at MSFT.

your best bet if you HAVE to do naz stocks would be csco. It is super liquid, trades usually with the spx and has a penny spread normally.

If you can deviate to listed stocks, which would be your best bet, start with dow stocks like mcd, hd, ba and gm. You can trade those all day, it wont drive you made and you can use a stop so you can step outside for some fresh air.
