I am an absolute beginner when it comes to options. However, I'm very interested in learning more about this marketplace and how to trade options. Can anyone recommend some good options websites? I've been looking around for a while, but all I can find are scammers or people who don't really seem to know much about options. Any info that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm especially interested in good FREE sites, since I don't want to waste money on yet ANOTHER crappy newsletter, subscription or software package. Thanks in advance for all your help.

cboe.com has loads of cool educational articles that are free... as does Londons Liffe exchange...

    http://www.cboe.com
grasp the basics, then trawl through the entire options sections of ET, and trade2win.com to refine your knowledge...

Thanks SO MUCH for your help! I will definitely check those sites out.

I've been searching all day myself and I mostly found shady sites. However, I did find one site that looks pretty good. They're not selling anything, the people who run it appear to be knowledgeable and, best of all, IT'S FREE! I'm going to check it out some more, and I'd appreciate your opinion on it as well. I found it here:

(hope I put that link in right, I'm new here):)

If I find any more sites, I'll let you know. Also, if anyone has any more recommendations, or has been to the above site, please let me know. Thanks again.

I'm sorry, but since when is asking questions considered spam?

I was on the CBOE's website reading about their Penny Pilot when I got a notification that someone replied to my post. I came back hoping to get some more info, only to be accused of this?

Should I not have posted a link to that site? The other guy did it, so I thought it was ok. In any event, thank you for the info that I assumed was a legitimate attempt to help me. If I had known this board was filled with trolls, I would never have posted here. And to think that I was about to ask a question about trade2win's site. You should be ashamed.

Ha! I just realised that I was accused of being a spammer by someone with only 11 posts!!! Priceless!! The nerve of some people.

In any event, if anyone ELSE out there has any info about good FREE options sites that I could use, then please let me know. I've tried Optionetics a few times, but they seem to be more concerned with selling me stuff than teaching me about options.

I did find the OIC site as well, and they seem to be pretty good. I would post a link to their site here, but I would be accused of being a spammer again, so it's just not worth it.

JaneE, sorry if i offended you, i take it from your response that it was real request... theres just loads of attempts by spammers and goons like that pushing stuff here... I don't have many posts, but i've been learning stuff from this site for quite a bit now, so I've seen a few of them...
    anyway,
best of luck with your search

Thank you. I appreciate that. I also appreciate your information. The CBOE site was very helpful and I'll try trade2win tomorrow.

After all, we're all just trying to learn.
