  1. Q. What do light beer and sex on the beach have in common?

    A. Both are "fuckin' near water".

  2. Ahh the memories of a 12 year old sneaking warm PBR's from Dad's stash in the garage, guzzling 3 of them and puking them up at the dinner table.

They are like gold in Paris fetching $12 / can.

  3. How about sampling a few of these Beer Cocktails?

Lemon Fresh is particularly popular throughout Barcelona. Can't seem to find lemon fanta anywhere in the US.

    Jamaican Beer
Ingredients: 100g of light beer, 40g of Martini Extra Dry, 40g of Martini Bianco, 40g of Gin, one drop of Finlandia Cranberry, one drop of Blue Curacao liqueur.
Preparation: in beer galba (special beer bocal) pour firstly vermouths, gin. Then add beer and drops of Finlandia vodka and liquor. The last ingredients are added mostly for the esthetic taste and it is absolutely possible to have the drink without them. But there won't be such a special taste.

    Baltimore Zoo
Ingredients: 20g of light rum, 20g of vodka, 20g of gin, grenadine and sprite syrups should be added in small quantities (5g).
Preparation: Squeeze out juice from a lemon half. A glass of beer (light is the preferable one), rum, vodka and gin are mixed with ice in the blander. Filter it into galba (special beer bocal) and add sprite and grenadine, then squeeze out lemon juice. The received mixture is put near the glass of beer that is added with the taste in order to decrease the drink knock-downess.

    351 Special
Ingredients: 40g of gin, 300g of light beer, any cola.
Preparation:pour beer and gin into galba, add some cola till you have reached the best concentration and taste.

    Sheep Dolly
Ingredients: 20g of vodka, 20g of "Southern Comfort" liquor, 20g of gin, 10g of grenadine syrups, 400g of light beer, sprite or 7UP, orange juice.
Preparation: this drink is for parties and has to be in big quantities. If you don't have "Southern Comfort" liquor it can be substituted with the mixture from 10g of whisky and 10g of peach liquor. Juice and 7UP are added according to the taste. That is much better to serve it with ice.

    Hot Weels
Ingredients: 20g of whisky ("7Crown", "Canadian Club"), 20g of beer (dark or red ones), three drops of "Tabasco" sauce.
Preparation: This shot is served in the small vodka glass. Ingredients are poured in the previously mentioned order.

    Lady's Beer
Ingredients: for two portions - 0,5l of light beer, 0,5l of sprite.
Preparation: mix beer and sprite into big glass with the following proportion like 1:1. Add some ice and drink slowly. That is also possible to add no ice and drink it quickly and then to have one more portion.

    Clara
Ingredients: light beer, 7UP or Sprite.
Preparation: ingredients are mixed in the beer galba in free sequence with ice.

    My Story
Ingredients:25ml of vodka, 250ml of beer, juice of one lemon, sugar powder.
Preparation: mix all the ingredients and serve in the cool glass. If you like something sweet just dress the cocktail with sugar powder.

    Shpok
Ingredients: 20ml of vodka, 100ml of beer.
Preparation: pour 20ml of cooled vodka into special vodka glass, and then add very cold beer to fill the rest of the glass half. Shake galba. The received mixture should be drunk at once.

    Paradise Island
Ingredients: 15ml of vodka, 10ml of "Malibu" liquor, 50ml of light beer, 50ml of gin, 400ml of pine-apple juice.
Preparation: mix these cooled ingredients in the shaker. The pineapple juice is burning fat, that is why this cocktail will be of great popularity among woman.

    Lemon Fresh
Ingredients: 1/3 lemon fanta, 2/3 of light beer.
Preparation: mix the ingredients in the tall galba. The result will be cool and fresh drink with the light lemon odour.

    New-Year Porter (variant #1)
Ingredients: 0,5l of beer, 2-3 spoons of honey, lemon half.
Preparation: 0,5l of beer should be warmed on fire, add 2-3 spoons of honey, squeeze lemon half, warm everything up again but not let it boil. Drink it hot!

    New-Year Porter (variant #2)
Ingredients: 1l of beer, 100g of sugar, 2 egg yolks, 2 cloves, a little of cynamon.
Preparation: warm up 1l of beer with cynamon and cloves, then filter it let it stand on the fire. Grind the egg yolk with 100g of sugar, and then add slowly the hot beer. The received mixture should be warmed up till the density (but do not let it boil). Drink it hot!

  5. I would like to suggest to you Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale. It's a Canadian beer, low hops, but slightly lower than average ABV (5% vs. typical 5.5%-6%). It's well stocked in Canada and I know it sells in the USA, but I am not sure how readily available it is down there.

    Check it out on wikipedia:

As an added bonus, this is how I picture Lucrum if it was the early 1800's. Alexander Keith (founder of above beer):

Not a beer, but I am presently enjoying my very first bottle of a true (100%) rye whiskey: Alberta Premium. Surprisingly good! I'm told there are not a lot of 100% ryes around anymore.

  8. I had many great times at the Peculiar Pub On Bleeker st.

They serve hundreds of beers from around the world and a fun atmosphere.
Have not been there in a long time now. Does anyone know if it is still open ? I did give a call no answer but they open late.
