You know I actually haven't, I'll try that with a bit of sim trading and see how it works.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

Should I just quit now while I have at least a bit of dignity left...?
I feel really stupid posting these but as I've said before, there's no use in not being a honest about my trades.

    Short 1 ES - 962.75
    Cover 1 ES - Stopped Out 964.00
    P/L: -$62.50

    Bought 1 ES - 968.75
    Cover 1 ES - Stopped Out 967.00
    P/L: -$62.50
    ^^two losses.... should have stopped)

    Short 1 ES - 966.50
    Cover 1 ES - Stopped Out 968.50
    P/L: -$100

    Short 1 6E - 1.4268
    Cover 1 6E - 1.4276
    P/L: -$100
This trade fired off with out me even knowing.... didn't even get a chance to cancel it in the DOM.

    Total Loss: $-325

    Yesterday's Account Value: $1553.14
    Today's Account Value: $1237.96
    Total loss today: -$262.50

I think if I have one more red day tomorrow I'm just going to close my account and go back to sim trading.... I just really need to take a good look at what I'm doing here.

As of right now I've lost all concern for turning out a profit and sadly enough I'm just focused on recovering some of these losses (if that wasn't obvious).

Sticking with my plan, I'm going to stick with an $100 target per day.
As I've said, I'll only trade prior to 11:30AM.
I'll have a max stop loss of $200 or two losing trades.
A the very minimum it will take me until August 1st to recover from my loss trading one contract.

If I can recover up to $1,700 (by the earliest next Friday, I'll begin trading two contracts again (however unless conditions change I won't set multiple profit targets.

I just need to stay disciplined and consistent and I may have a chance to recover.

Have any thoughts, opinions? Please post them.

  7. the only interesting thing about your trading is how pathetic it si and that you continue to trade and post your "intersting" facts about your trading which is terrible. Think if you would hav ejust bought 1 es contract 3 days ago and held today... think about
what a small amount of time and energy that would have taken..even with your stats it would have been 1 trade not 10! 1 commission not 10 and guess what.. you would be up roughly 1000 bucks.. or 50 %. stop scalping...

  8. Just an observation, if you have stops at bigger levels that your profit targets, you WILL never be successful.

Go read Geez's thread in the journal section to see what a successful trading plan looks like. You will notice he uses a 3:1 ratio on his stop/profit targets and has more losers than winners but STILL makes money.

AND don't trade 2 lots with such a small account, you are letting leverage ruin you.

  9. Listen to me very carefully young man.

Forget about trading the ES and learn to trade stocks.

Save up some more money - the market isn't going anywhere.

  10. Please post a link to YOUR trading journal so we can all see how well YOU are doing...

If you don't like the kid's journal, don't read it. He didn't create it for you.
