Well, yes, Zanger rode the internet
    wave...

How much did he make since then ???

    The best performance measure there
is, is to calculate the travel range
of the specific market and compare
    the results of the trader with that;

Suppose the travel range is 100 points
and you make 10 points, then you made
    10 % of that range.

If there is not much volatility in the
market, you will make less but
if the % of the travel range captured
is the same then you DID a good job.

So the question should not be
"How much % return did you make
on your capital" but "How much %
of the travel range did you capture"

    Everything is relative, everything.....

  2. When will the contest begin? I am curious to see the methods used in a methodology that is aimed almost entirely at capturing the largest percentage of the Market's volatility. It is very good target for a trader to aim at, but I am wondering how logic can be applied to gain the targeted results?

    Anything is possible.

Sabena, give us swine some pearls of wisdom as to how you capture a big portion of the daily range. Personally I use MOL and MOH orders to effortlessly capture the extremes, but this isn't available to little people. Do you have any secrets? :D

  8. Minime, what are you saying ?

    >>Do you have any secrets? <<

Now you have been around long enough to know that there aren't any secrets. :) :)

Or, as Ed Seykote said : "The secret is that there aren't any secrets"

Interesting thread. About half way through from the beginning. I heard a talk by a guy named Ryan Jones, who some of you may know or have heard of. This was at the last Online Trading Expo held in Ontario, CA in I think it was 2000. Interesting enough, right after the talk I met Tony Oz for the first time just outside the building and he told us where there was a good Italian restaurant to have dinner. He was right - it was quite good. :D (Linking different elements of this thread) :D (This really did happen - He was giving talks at the Expo too - Ha) Anyway, Ryan's talk was about making $1,000,000 through proper money management. A very interesting talk. Talked about Larry and probability and money management, etc. Here are some links to his stuff:

BTW, Ryan also said he himself has tried diligently to duplicate or better Larry's record and has never even come close. :D

PS Just saw your reference to Ryan right after I originally posted this big_jdez but no one picked up on it.
