First of all, richness I don't measure by how much money one have but what you can do with that money. A guy that has 1 million dollar and can barely make 10 % yearly or a guy that has 10000,-$ and can make 100 % monthly , who is the richest ? for me number 2. In fact I feel myself much richer than Bill Gates ! Like my mother said "The capital in your head they cannot take away from you, the capital in your account they can...." Even they take all my money, I go working in McDonald's and make 10000,-$ and start all over again.
Sabena, I can see that you have your priorities straight: women first, McDonalds second and trading third. Good luck!
You known, part of the reason, I have become so good, is that the money doesn't mean much to me. I have always lives as a student with 500,-$ monthly. I have always wanted to be the best in what I do. When I was playing European football, I was the happiest man of the world when I passed 6 guys and made a goal. If you are too much focused on the money you will make less than when you are only focused on winning. You known, I don't look at how much I made at the end of the day. The only thing I look at is how much % I catched from the daily range. I just want to bring up that number because that's the number that measures your performance againts the market. Your true performance is the relative performance against the market. I can make one day more $ than another day but if the % of the range on the day with the most $ is less then on the day with the lesser $ then I feel better with the day that I made the least $
Like my father Albert Einstein proved in his relativity theory. Motion is relative, speed is relative, everything in life is relative, everything... Finally it all ends up in philosophy. Science gives an answer on the "How" but not the "Why" "It's our duty to the world to fullfill our full potential" And I'm trying to do just that.....
I am just trying to get as close to the truth as possible. In trading ,we as humans, will never be able to reach the full truth, never. Only God knowns.... And when I had my accident, I had the chance to look God in the eyes for a few seconds and I'm sure that he had a purpose with that accident. This challenge I will take next year is just part of something more. If I start that Hedge Fund, then the % of the profits will go not to me, no, it will go to people who need education. Like my father said " The best investment are people" Yes, people and not stock, futures or options.....
of course, but that's just another way of saying "if you can see the future, then you can always make money consistently". anyhow, i don't really want an argument on a thread that's quickly degenerating into the "TraderRX+NVDA=BIG CACHINGO" realm, so i'll just say that: if you really think that you have the holy grail, a system that works consistently no matter what happens with the market, then be prepared, some time in 2003, to say "oh shit, that never happened before!". you have been warned. - jaan
Sabena: your father is Albert Einstein now?????? who's your mother, Joan of Arc? And I bet your uncle is Lex Luthor. Or maybe he's a superhero....sneezes bullets and farts laughing gas.....
