Edwards & Magee is the best resource for learning about the classic price and volume patterns. Then there is Bulkowski's "Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns" which is actually much more than the title; he actually computed probabilities for all of the patterns from daily stock charts, and goes into trading strategies for each one.
I have his other book "Trading Classic Chart Patterns" and I think he has done the most objective analytical study of price patterns I've seen.
Here is another one. http://www.enthios.com/Lessons/PatternsPrimer/patterns.htm#broadening_formations
Was reading through Pring on Price Patterns last night and he says that he believes classic flags are becoming extinct. Any ideas on that?
