When you read the transcripts of Hannity and Rush, and you apply rules of logical thought, it is obvious that these guys are made for radio. The assume an authoritarian totalitarian position, and speak to dittoheaded types who lap it up. They screen callers to allow only the calls they can handle. They are preaching to a choir, not stimulating independent and critical thinking. They do not suggest that people think for themselves, in fact Rush constantly tells his followers not to think, not to go to anyone but him for "information" and opinion. They don't couch their opinions as simply a point of view, but rather as the one and only truth, as if somehow they are the modern day profits of righteousness, and anyone who takes a different position is loony, or insane, or evil, etc. They live for a black and white dogmatism, which appeals to those who as so lost that they seek only a simplistic childlike fundamentalism to get them through the day. The sheeple seek out the Limbaugh, Hannity, and Coulter's of the world. Followers, all of them...and it is as if they are reading from a script when they are challenged, their knee jerk responses are nearly identical.....
