Battle of the 49's Dell U4919DW vs. Samsung CRG9?

  1. What's the best zoning app for Samsung compatible with Win 7? I'm looking to split the screen up into 3x1 or 6x2.

By 'zoning', I assume you mean display configuration. I use DisplayFusion. You can split your monitors into smaller virtual monitors and maximize windows to those virtual monitors.

Here's an example showing how I've got 1 of my monitors partitioned into smaller virtual displays.

  3. Won't be "minimum GPU", but will rather be model specific. Check the specs on video cards you're considering. Most will do 3840x2160 @ 60Hz. Certain ones will do more.

  4. Now days, a "TV as monitor" is an all around good choice vs "monitor". Of all my displays, my 43" Samsung TV-as-monitor is my favorite for aesthetic appeal.

If you want higher resolution than 3840x2160, you'll need to go for "multiple monitors". My trading chart array is 3x, 3840x2160... which equals 6480x3840 in portrait mode... it's about the same size as a 50" TV.

  5. Are sitting or standing at your desk ? I have a 43 inch Dell and love it but I stand at my desk.... so it works perfectly for especially at $700 brand new...

  6. I usually sit, but I have a Varidesk so sometimes I stand.

  7. For me standing works best, with the 43 inch Dell, I can just shift my body weight to one side and get a clear straight on view or either side of the monitor..

  8. Is there any older GPU that can output 5120 x 1440 @ 120Hz (or close to it) but compatible with Win 7? I tried Nvidia T600 and AMD Radeon WX3200 but none of these have drivers for Win 7 so they do not install at all. I prefer not to upgrade to Win 10+ just for the sake of using this monitor as it's too much work. I rather not reinstall all my apps and settings unless I absolutely have to. Thanks.

  9. The Quadro P620 says it will do "4x, 5120x2880@ 60Hz" on W7... so I presume it will do 1440 also. You can start checking it out with this link.. I doubt you'll find one @120Hz, as that's more of a gamer card... but 60Hz is plenty good for trading.
