I agree the first thing to do before swing trading is cull a unvirse of only very high quality stocks. I also look at their porior performance by assessing it. Minimum of 5 trading cycles in 6 months in the past that follow swing rules flawlessly. "repeatability" is an absolute must. My exit is most important part. I go out on first two hours of second volume peaking day. I trade stocks more than once rather than just keeping adding new ones. My "previosly traded" list does have to compete against my weekly selected universe of 100 stocks. I get a "hot" list by arranging the best stocks according to when they are going to go up in price. I choose to monitor them closely starting a day ahead of time.
