LOL Trend Fader, getting all trollish again? What's the matter? Had a losing day? Bird ran away? Ego? I don't understand. Nobody here even knows my name, I think you've lived in cyberspace a bit too long... Ah well... 1) You're wrong on the first one already. I've deliberately refrained from making any indications as to how much money I make. You will not see me posting anywhere what size I trade. Therefore, your comment is invalid and immature. 2) Snapshot of P&L - LOL That's another great newbie classic. I've had a similar discussion with an "enemy" ET member, and proved to him that it's total nonsense (by showing him my genuine $10M IB brokerage statement. We became friends after that. Please search "statement" and "scientist" for a genuine P&L shot, so you can save yourself this crap. 3) Most of my calls have been crap? So your word stands against that of quite a few here, including Jayford, who's been trading for decades? Interesting to hear from you. You must be a true market wizard. Wish you'd share something useful one day though. 4) No, you didn't follow my trades. If you had, you wouldn't be talking crap. If you do your backtesting like that too, then good night grandma. 5) I think I've shared plenty of things on this thread. Anyone argue? If Baruch wants me to go, I will. And anyway, why pi$$ over this thread? Why not go and bother Jack Hershey again? Go and get a life, Fend Trader. Cheers!
Hello First of all thank you Baruch for a great thread and Scientist, Jayford and others for great insights. Dont want to get in middle of a fight here but I will say this: Scientists posts in this thread (and others) have more substance and have helped me more than anything else on this board. I also do not mind sharing succeses or failures for that matter. I certainly hope he keeps writing. Bungle
Some like to spend their time trying to show folks how smart they are. When in reality they haven't a clue what they are talking about.
I got the hell outta this trade @7.25, -1.75. It was a cheap one to find out, no point trying to take home a short on a parabolic move like this one. We have a pretty big "gap" to fill on the daily towards 1125, so I'm staying flat now. Should've stayed long with the trend all along, but too late to re-enter now. Got hold of CD version "Gloria and Magnificat" by Vivaldi and Bach, and some Verdi, will relax enjoy music now - reply laters... Best, S
Hey Jayford, nice setup! No, I didn't actually trade GBP at all for a while, currently have my hands full with EUR, AUD and ES, I'm backtesting some new advanced system theories and it takes time to complete that first (always longer than I'd like it to). However, would have been nice short on GBP for sure on the 3:00 EST bar on 24/03. I still do all the fib stuff and channels, but am currently experimenting with an extremely simple (not advanced) system for following trends on the 15m, 30m, 60m and D charts for both currencies and indices - Few filters aside, crossover of 10 & 20 EMA is all I'll say... It's really very simple. If you'd followed the recent markets, particularly 15-60m charts with a 10/20 XO, you'd see that it at the very least helps stay on the right side of trend. It's even simpler than Baruch's system. Wish I'd stuck with that on ES today. That XO is what fired my long this morning, but I exited and faded a parabolic move instead of just sitting in... Hey man, congrats to the short though! It sure was a nice one! S
Have any of you guys made any money off the euro since yesterdays close? Ive made four trades and am breakeven minus commissions. Hard to trade imo. Lots of movement but pretty erratic.
Only one trade in EUR today until now. The buy signal made 37 pips - I was lucky to go flat near the top. There just came a sell signal, so I am short now - with a very tight stop 3 pips away from b/e. PS. We have hot debates in this thread - but we all want to share our ideas (and learn from others).
I would appreciate it if you can somehow chart your performance or post all of your trades in an orderly spreadsheet so some of us can lean from it better. --MIKE
