Thanks Baruch, in your first post of this thread, you mentioned: 1) You use this strategy for longer term trades, please tell me how long your trades remain open typically? 2) Buy or sell the cross over of the MA 50. Which cross over are you referring to, the cross over of the actual price line on line chart, as there is only 1 MA, its not clear. This may be a very good long term strategy, I will definitely give it a try, and post the results, but can you please mention any GOOD short term trading strategy? to trade several times during 7-15 EST? Thanks.
FxFx, 1. Difficult to say. Depending on the market. 2. When MA50 crosses the price. 3. Buk's system/method (read about it some pages ago) gives more signals. Short term-trading? Read all what TRADERguy writes in this thread. He is a pro short-term trader. Good luck.
9.00 GMT EUR: April employment. Consensus: 8.8%. Prior: 8.8% April PPI: Consensus: 1.3%. Prior: 0.4%. I suppose oil and Middle East again will be the main focus. No important US data. We're all waiting for Friday's nonfarm number.
Some hate "Pit Bull" by Marty "Buzzy" Schwartz. I love it. "Buzzy" is no George Soros or Paul Tudor Jones. But he is a TRADER. Forget Van Tharp and Douglas - they are not real traders. I think "Pit Bull" is a honest book. It is not a "how to..." book, but you get into a traders brain. And you get a feeling for what a pro trader thinks and feels. It is also a funny book.
playing off the intraday strat today by the looksy!.....signalled a couple longs & a decent short so far this morning, but I guess they're gearing up for Friday's payroll numbers now. 8500 will be the testing point for further longs, and looks like a pretty good pivot 'long above/short below'.......how's it going Baruch?
Buk, Fine, thank you. I have been long since yesterday, and the trend is still up, but I suppose we all wait for tomorrow? I know you don't trade the news, but it must be very difficult not to trade such a big and important number? Could you explain a little bit more about this intraday strategy?
