was just asked whether it's "a nailed on play" to simply add in at each 00 number in an obvious trending move.....the answer is no!....as commented, the overall 'picture' has to be observed & your own reading of the technical scenario adhered to....for instance, the next century level (8300) & my normal entry (8310) coincides with a major resistance area reinforced by a 50% Fib number from the 9140 - 7485 decline....this area could result in whippy action & possible rejection until price decides to break thru or the bears step in & sling it back south....time will tell (providing we reach that point)
cable's cleared this fib/resist level....sorry haven't posted right on the trade (was in a Paltalk room discussing this play)...added at 8320, running a tight stop on this entry (8310) due to previous reasonings....all stops on prev entries moved up to 8290.
Good call Buk. (What is Paltalk room?). Traded the news: Was very close to go short after the numbers - but then I watched the 10 years T-notes. They were having a party! (TRADERguy gave this idea here last week - thank you). So I went long because of the T-notes, and soon after EUR broke out. Flat now with a nice 82 pips gain. But next time (tomorrow?) I will also trade the T-notes. Why only trade forex?
nice trade!!.....and you're right, if a good opp exists to marry up info then use it!....cable's taking a breather up here atm, may still yet pull back to test this b/o....and I have this entry stop now at b/e (8320).....leaving the remaining stops at 8290 to test a possible round number reaction p/b.
went long Euro on retracement after the 8:30 EST am # good so far ( even saw gold was stronger in % terms ) scalped my couple of pips ... was happy ... then saw the Euro breaking out not so happy
Baruch.....I occasionally frequent the Forex Traders US Paltalk room when I have time.....one or two good traders in there swapping idea's/chatting generally re: mkt calls etc....+ it's an 'audio' room, so easier to discuss etc...
OK - so you SPEAK and don't write, with the other traders? P.S. I have made some PR here for Jimmy Young and his www.eurusdtrader.com , because I like his fundamental approach (trade without charts) as a fresh idea, and because he's service inclusive calls in Yahoo Messenger was free. (He only took money for a big course in trading). I supposed he was a trader, who wanted to share - like we do here. But from next week he wants money for his service. But it will not be my money. But good luck, Jimmy.
