  1. There are two CPI numbers - with and without foods and energy. The last one is called core CPI.

  3. But first - 9.00 GMT - we will have Euro-zone GDP. Consensus according to Forexnews 0.4% (also heard 0.5%).

  5. Jimmy Young has made som good eco news calls before.

    Here is his strategy for CPI today:

    If:

    + 0.5/ +0.4 Buy USD.
    + 0.1/ 0.0 Sell USD

    Profit expectations: 50 pips.

  6. Market seems to wating for CPI - although we might still drop before that - EURO is determined to hang on with GBP leading the way down....

    Unless the market is getting ready for a bounce - I just wish is would make up it mind and get it over with.

    i have grown rather fond of your journal.
    would you mind if i posted some of my observations regarding the FX markets?

    i figured that rather than starting a journal on the subject it is better to find a good journal and join it.

  9. John Hary from Saxo Banks thinks CPI today COULD be a "launching pad" for at "dramastic turnaround" in dollar.

    Yes, who knows? Inflation is not the same as growth.
