    Well, darn, guess what I been using for past 38 years I should get rid and use 15ema, yea when Panda's can fly. Am not knocking moving averages, but you are so young into trading, you want to do what Majority of chart readers use as Volume pushes the market to go one direction, not a 15ema. I prefer SMA, slow is better for me cause less false signals, sma showing slope is a good trend identifier, then look to do trendlines.

    But always realize that moving averages put you 15 bars slower than price, whereas Price is not 15 bars slower, in other words, until one can read charts before indicators, one will usually take longer to understand charting. Also, do you what is takes for the moving averages to change from one slope to different slope?
