I've been eating quite a bit of Tilapia for about the last 10 days and it's starting to wear on me. It seems like no matter what seasoning I put on it, it's still bland. Then it just occurred to me that maybe I need a sauce of some sort to put on it. If anybody has any suggestions for this, let me know!
Butter, Salt, and Lemon is main way to give white fish some flavor....cream sauces would be too much for your diet but I think also eating it for 10 days straight makes most things taste boring.
Thanks. I just made a sauce using EVOO, salt, lemon, garlic, chopped parsley and 2 tsp of heavy whipping cream. It definitely helped moisten the tilapia and give it some extra flavor:
The 1lb package comes with 3 in it, but what you are seeing above is 1 1/2 filets to bring it in around 8oz.
Florida has a scallop season Baron, you can go get them fresh with snorkel gear and the dock hands will shell them for you....great stuff.
