Legumes are fine. Peanuts, black beans, and snap peas are my favorites. My sauteed vegetable mixture usually always has sugar snap peas in it.

  4. Okay. I asked because my limited understanding of keto and paleo diets is that legumes are generally avoided. Not being an adherent of either, I have beans and/or lentils every day of the week.

Legumes combined with grains provide a wide protein spectrum.

  6. I heard that as well, and that works for me. Do you know if both should necessarily be consumed at the same sitting?

Good call. Some folks may look and feel healthy, but their cholesterol levels may suggest otherwise.

No ketosis or paleo nonsense on my plan. I grew up in southeastern Virginia which is the peanut capital of the world. Peanuts are one of my all-time favorite foods which is why I could never adhere to the paleo protocol.

  10. Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks. I usually prefer to have them separately, but not too far apart from one another. (Since none of my meals are too far apart from one another. :D )
