Ok, I'm with you buddy. http://theconversation.com/epigenetics-phenomenon-or-quackery-44961 But is it all it's quacked up to be?
Obesity is very much linked to poverty, it takes some expenses and focus to be slim, in the developed world at least.
And intelligence. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how detrimental excess fat can be to your organs.
"Linked to" is not nearly the same as "caused by." Obesity is in almost all cases entirely hormonal, specifically tied to disregulation of the hormones insulin and leptin. "Eating less" and "moving more" can counter these disregulations to some extent. I'd rather be lean and healthy, regardless of my economic well being. Also, I don't want to be misinterpreted by my earlier posts. I am not anti-carbohydrate. The problem is with processed cards and sugars, not greens and veggies, imo. Though I do agree with Baron - best is to be lean and rich.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure there is a link. But it doesn't explain why it's usually overweight people who order the calorie-rich beverages and desserts at coffee shops, and are more likely than thin folks to be seen eating junk food.
