Johnarb imo tries to be the nice helpful contributing crypto guy on ET but underneath there is an ulterior motive, that of being a crypto pumper scammer.
You can see from the results, when he doesn't get his own way, he resorts to bullying.
You guys are deluded with crypto, typical cultism which always ends badly for those drinking the koolade.

Here's more of the recent nonsense from Baron's crypto bro.

Johnarb is just selling the story to pull new victims in the BTC scam. Each time when somebody buys BTC johnarb gives that person thumbs up. Even when Baron bought at the all time high he received congratulations from johnarb. Deaddog is a well educated person. He is not calling people closet wishers or any other name. Something johnarb, and you apparently too, are doing all the time. Even when reactions become rather aggressive Deaddog stays polite. Johnarb did also a lot of name calling towards me, mixed with a lot of lies.

A forum is a public place where people can give their opinion about their point of view. They have the right to ask critical questions. The fact that this frustrates crypto diehards, indicates that the crypto diehards have a hidden agenda. Deaddog has the right to post in this thread. You prefer the Russian way: only who agrees can post and the rest should be silent. You are afraid that Deaddog exposes the hidden agenda and can convince people not to believe your fairy tales. The shorting argument makes no sense too, I already told that many times. A smart person never invests in a scam. Neither by buying or shorting.

Deaddog is not afraid for FOMO. He is surely not waiting for the trend to turn back. I agree that arguing with him is annoying as fuck, because he asks questions that crypto diehards prefer not to hear. These questions might wake up the potential victims of the crypto scam and reduce the number of victims that get caught by crypto diehards.

The only revolutionary about crypto’s is that BTC managed to fall back 75% in one year and got back to the level of 2017. To me to revolutionize the world looks rather the opposite of what we saw since 2017.

As you say, each person is entitled to their opinion. So you think he is pulling in victims, and I feel the opposite. And I guess there is no point in going further since we are on different sides with this specific issue.

Of course he does, but I have also tried to answer many times and just when you think you're getting through, he comes right back to "how do you value it". No matter how many times you try, he just isn't getting it. Either he doesn't want to, or he is pulling our leg, or whatever other reason but I know I've tried many times, and John has tried easily 10x more with multiple members than I have.

This makes no sense. If you are convinced something is going to zero, then you have to agree there is money to be made in taking the short. Now of course if you are scared its going to 100k or 500k first and that is why you aren't shorting, well, that is a different matter. The only reason you don't short is because you know there is a chance it will go to the moon. So every person who doesn't short knows deep down that there is a small chance that bitcoin can make new ATH's.

He is actually and has said so himself that he needs to see the trend change before getting in.

Imagine if governments were in charge of running telecolumincations. How fucked up would this be? We already see what happens when governments are in charge of energy. Some countries are clearly struggling. So I don't want governments in charge of creating and issuing money. All they should do is collect taxes and distribute this to pay for things that everyone in society will benefit from. But all the problems facing us today are a result of central banks. If we can take power away from governments and central banks to issue money, there is a hope that humanity will be that much better.

I honestly fear the poor and oppressed people rising up and creating havoc, and rightfully so. look at how scared China was when people started to protest. How many people do you think it takes to kill a few government officials or a few billionaires before we go into full on anarchy? What stops a poor person who has nothing from revolting? Governments today print money simply to stop the people they fucked over from revolting.

Now we have officials saying governments need to cause unemployment in order to control inflation. Look it up... it was said just a few days ago. How fucked up is that the government who created this mess now needs you to lose your job just so that you the prices of shit people need come down. And this is who you want in charge of money creation?

I wish he got through to me sooner with his crypto pumping... I could have seen the light earlier and become rich!

Mickey, and you FF are both old coots. Don't you think the world around you is changing in ways that is difficult for you to accept? Dylan truly is quite intelligent. Believe it or not, he is trying to make the world a better place so that when you are super old, you get taken care of. The way the world is heading now, there won't be anything left.

Perhaps you're like other rich boomers who got lucky being born during the boom times and think you made it simply because of dropping interest rates for 40 years and post war productivity. But the next 40 years will be much different. I hope this new generation has the balls to fuck over the boomers who have essentially stolen the future from the young people.

Mickey lives in Townsville. Great place but hot, humid surrounded by Snakes, Crocodiles, Jellyfish and some extremist political views.
I'd get a bit hot under the collar (pi$$ed off) at times too!

I would like to see cryoto survive and prosper.
I'm not anti crypto whatsoever, I think if we could replace Feb money printing and government manipulation it would be fantastic.
What I'm not in favour of is buying blindly crypto in steep downtrends with no meaningful breakouts.
Also I'm not in favor of bullying those who have an opposing opinion to the mob.

Finally, an excellent reply. So we are all in this together, and all want the same thing, we just disagree on how we get there.

The problem in life is that usually once you really need something, its difficult to get. Nobody needs fire insurance until there is a forest fire in their backyard, but you still gotta pay for it year after year cause nobody will sell it to you last minute.

If you want to see it prosper, buy a little bit and buy a hardware wallet and take it off the exchange. You will learn a valuable skill for when its really important. You will get used to doing transactions so that when you really need to make a big one, you won't be scared. You will also send a message to all these woke governments that you don't agree with their stupid policies and that you are fighting for freedom.

As a trader, I imagine 1k is nothing for you. So buy a little bit of bitcoin to learn, and you will thank me later. I do imagine the day when shit hits the fan and exchanges are overwhelmed with transactions and everyone is eager to buy bitcoin and take it off exchange. Bitcoin will have a 10k daily candle and not look back. We just need the catalyst that I'm sure government and central bank stupidity will give us.

I have been in and out of crypto a few times.
I track keenly a number of US crypto instruments (stocks, ETF's, crypto currencies) within algos.
I relooked at crypto yesterday as I thought there may be a buying opportunity now, but for me atm the odds still don't stack up, metals and other stuff like uranium and technology are a better bet imo.

Well first of all, we need to define what 2022 actually represented. So many people are like, "2022 was such a terrible year for crypto!"

Um, actually no. It was a great year because the weakest links in the chain broke, and that paves a much more solid path moving forward. The crypto community really needed a year like 2022 to happen so that regulators will finally do what they've been called upon to do for many years, which is to implement a regulatory framework that gives all market participants a field to play the game on. What we've had so far is one big basketball game but with no lines marked on the court, and no referees and accountable coaches to oversee the activities of the players. And with no painted lines for out-of-bounds, three-pointers, half-court, and free throws, the game became one big clusterfuck of activity but nobody can actually tell who is playing, who is regulating, who is coaching, and who is scamming. That's what the crypto game has been like for years. But despite those limitations, the problem is that players want to continue playing, and spectators want to continue speculating and betting on the outcomes of the sport, even with a lack of clear rules... until a series of fraudulent events happen that leaves everybody feeling fucked over. And that's when people start going nuts by demanding rules, referees, coaches, shot clocks and painted lines.

And that's where we are at in 2022. The initial fun of a new technology and industry was great to witness and be a part of, but in order for everyone to move forward, just like in any sport we need regulations and boundaries put in place so we can all know if a game participant of any type, meaning a player, a coach, a team owner, a stadium, a referee, etc. is violating the rules and fucking with the core ethics, honesty and integrity of the game.

So I have two messages to give as we move forward:

Message number one is for all of the crypto fans out there. Don't waver in your conviction as we move forward. The game rules are just now being put in place, and that only bodes well for you. The more rules that are implemented, the more institutional money will come into the space. And when that happens, it will drive the market higher at a much faster pace than you have ever witnessed so far. And for a mathematically sound opportunity like Bitcoin, it's absolutely the best bet you can make for your investing future.

Message number two is for all of the crypto haters. One of the biggest lessons that you will learn is that when you try to cling onto a specific snapshot of life and resist new technologies and ways of thinking, you eventually discover that there's nothing left to hold onto. The pace of change never stops and the rest of the world moves on without you, and no matter how much you want to believe that the current way that you've been brought up is the only way, the next generations to follow will show you that the only true path of moving forward in life is not clinging on to what you are familiar with, but instead letting go and embracing the present moment of constant change because it's all you have in this life to be a part of. Now, you certainly have the right to live and dwell in the memories of your cassette tapes, fax machines, newspapers on your driveway delivered by the paperboy, and physical buildings called banks that hold metal coins and paper bills. But you must understand that life moves on no matter how much you want to cling to the past, and just like when the day came that you had to lay the flip phone down and embrace the smartphone, the day will come when you'll have to get rid of the cash underneath your mattress and embrace your crypto wallet.

    Cheers to 2023!
