As most everyone here already knows, the creature by the name of ZZZzzzzzzz has only one purpose in life: Writing whatever it takes to annoy the shit out of ET members. 17 posts per day, all devoted to generate the maximum possible amount of frustration, anger and grief in the creature's victims. But this thread isn't about ZTroll. It's about the creature's sidekick and guardian angel: <b>resinate</b>. In order to cause the maximum possible amount of cyber pestilence, ZTroll has somehow convinced resinate to delete any and all chit chat posts the troll would like gone. <b>ZZZzzzzzzz is now the de facto moderator of chit chat.</b> <b>Whether or not resinate has given his (moderator) login password to the troll is a moot point. ZTroll now controls the entire content of chit chat by proxy, if not directly. Resinate makes a habit of frequently aiding and abetting a known troll- and is therefore a troll himself, unfit to moderate any internet message board.</b> This probably isn't necessary, but anyone who needs to be convinced that LoZZZer's one and only purpose here is make a pest of itself need only understand the common troll tactic of <b> winning by losing.</b> While the victim is trying to put forward solid and convincing facts to prove his position, the troll's only goal is to infuriate its prey. The troll takes (what it knows to be) a badly flawed, wholly illogical argument, and then vigorously defends it while mocking and insulting its prey. The troll looks like a complete idiot, but this is all part of the plan. The victim becomes noticeably angry by trying to repeatedly explain the flaws of the troll's argument. Provoking this anger was the troll's one and only goal from the very beginning. Before I understood the inner workings of the troll mind, I was prey. Rearden, Have to very much disagree. Look at chitchat and the threads and have a thought for what it takes to moderate it. Many members don't like ZZZ and write nasty posts about him, if res. does give any weight to ZZZ (not saying he does) it would only be to give a slight counterbalance. We have it made on ET chat, must be one of the best political chatrooms on the web. And because we have leftwingers and rightwingers and everyone in between it all works. Not saying resinate is perfect but who could be.

I wonder if there is any record of how many times ZZZzzzzzz has been owned only to be "rescued" of the false accusations and hypocrisy by his little buddy, resinate.
Elitetrader is now a joke forum. Baron is thinking very short term: tolls generate page views which generate revenues for him. So he's turning a blind eye and even indirectly promoting them to mod positions. But in the long-term it's killing the forum - real traders are leaving for other forums. Soon ET advertisers will realize that this forum has degraded into the Yahoo! massage boards and pull out. It's a shame that Baron is so shortsighted.
