  1. nkhoi,

I don't think I'm making a smart aleck comment about Jack's posts. I said when I stopped posting on the stochastics thread that if you don't expect to much from Jack, things will be fine. Or, words to that effect. As for my question, Jack never answered it. His market pep talk was, as I said, the best I had ever read. I'm sure other people found something worthwhile in his writing as well. However, at no time did I treat him disrespectfully, you can check all of my posts. On the other hand, he had no trouble leveling judgements and using foul language. I got sick and tired of that kind of attitude.

  2. Let me see if I understand you:

You're "not much of a complainer" but you whine because you didn't get an answer from Jack that was available to you just by searching. You're "not much of a complainer" but you complained to Baron to help get Jack banned because you felt Jack was dominating the Mental Ceilings thread when he had other threads going.

I don't know about you but that strikes me as being a complainer and whiner to me. It makes me wonder, when you lose in the market do you go crying like a pussy? Be a man and have some CORAZON!

  3. Yes, I think you understand what I said. I have no control over what you think. If you think a lot about it, I'd suggest you may want to try some simple diversion like reading jokes or taking a walk. As for your question, when I lose I accept responsibility for the loss. By the way your last line reminds me of General Patton in the famous 'soldier slapping' incident. He later regretted his actions, will you?

    Baron,

You have no real reason to ban Jack.

So you have 100 people who want to read what Jack has to say.
Then you have 10 morons who don't know how to use the
ignore button and keep reading Jack's posts only to complain.

Does it make sense to ban Jack for the 10 morons in which
the other 100 people who are interested can't learn from him?
Or the other 1000 people who could care less if he's here or not.
I bet if you check the IP addresses of the 10 morons, some of
them even complained under different logins! :)

I personally don't agree with Jack but I still read his thread for
fun and catch something new once in a while.

You made a real MISTAKE for banning Jack!

    Good Luck!

  7. Actually, I've had a few emails with Jack, and he always responded to me in less than 24 hours. Unfortunately, virtually no one here understood that Jacks "style" is done that way on purpose. It truly is an incredible example of how much we can all be lazy thinkers at times.

Language can be an incredible paradox: the more vague someone writes, the easier it is to understand it. The more specific it is, the harder it is to understand. There is a physiological reason for this: your current programing (neural pathways) will tend to completely filter out the meaning of specific language if it happens to be contrary to your core beliefs.

Jack-ease is really just a lot of language patterns with imbedded comands and hypnotic loops. Very powerful stuff, too bad the fear at elite is so rampant it drove him away.

  8. Thanks for clueing me in. I didn't fear Jack. I was angry when he came to the Mental Ceilings thread and tried to turn it to his own use. His last three posts there were as cryptic and convoluted as ever. To be honest, I am overwhelmed by the amount of posting he does, to what purpose? I've reviewed his posts and those of some others on the MSN board he frequented. I have also viewed several of his posts on Google. In every instance I got the feeling I was just about to learn something of importance, when the moment for communicating that important something came, I felt as though I was missing the lesson. This has happened over and over again.

Okay, some might say I'm whining about it. Just cut your losses and move on. However, I was enjoying the thread on Mental Ceilings, was contributing, and was learning a few things. Then, within about 20 or so posts the whole thing shifts to Jack Hershey's method and other people just stop posting. Not me, though, cause I'm a trooper. In the end, all he can do is come back and make three posts with diagrams posted every which way. Considering someone who put so much effort in policing his own threads and reposting things, I thought he doesn't have much respect for other's threads, not that it was my thread, anyway. I also didn't like what I considered to be off-color remarks about little girls. Call me a prude if you want, but that kind of thought expressed openly and not discouraged is asking for trouble in some way, shape or fashion. Let's keep it as clean as possible.

Okay, there you have my view. I've made no provision for the people who swear, who post lewd pictures, or who make lewd comments. That isn't my job. My one privilege here is to express my opinion; this I do without the profanity and the lewdness. If I occasionally (and I have done it this time) express my disapproval of someone then it is just my voice in protest. But you now know where I stand on this issue, not that it makes any difference. I understand you have added some of my work to your already quite large collection of interesting stuff. You are welcome to it. If you are ever in need of further explanation, you can always PM me.

  9. It took too much time - I didn't feel that I was able to continue doing a good job of it because I started spending less and less time on ET. I still just skim a few threads here and there, mostly anything in Index Futures, jokes thread, a couple of journals, stuff in Tech Analysis and Strategy trading and anything that catches my fancy.

...Unless I'm really bored or have time to kill then I'll make a post here or there.

I have to save this as the most delusional and idiotic statement I've ever read.

Imbedded commands and hypnotic loops? Good grief.
