Barney Frank calls for MORE immediate government spending increases

  1. I admire your faith that the Republicans would block tax increases. As happened under Reagan, they seem okay with them just so long as they're payroll taxes.

Good luck with that. Also ask Trig Palin for a million dollars while you're at it.

Like I said, I wasn't looking for a republican history lesson. I don't believe republicans will be a factor in the next two years.

If Obama is elected he will not cut anyone's taxes. He is a socialist and only believes in raising taxes. He'll pull a Bill Clinton and find the books are much worse than he expected: "I've never worked harder in my life ... blah, blah, blah..."

  5. What other choices are there? The Republicans will piss themselves if the Democrats try to cut the military budget, even though it's grown to almost 50% of the entire budget, and more than the top ten other countries of the world combined, and nobody can touch Social Security because it's the "third rail" of politics.

What did you think was going to happen when you supported the war? That it would pay for itself?

Raising taxes when the economy is under stress will not increase government revenues, because the economy will shrink even further. JFK, Ronald Reagan and Bush 43 all cut taxes and increased government revenue through stimulated economic growth.
