You people here are so negative. All you do is make negative statements towards others post. My statement was not false. but it is only true using 4- 6 tick target and 6-8 tick protective stop... This is well know fact.. get over it... sorry for my omission.. but then it did give you negative folks something to point out.
Clearly David was describing the win percentage a scalper would need. And, since many/most one-lot traders would be quick to lock in even a small profit, it makes sense to comment as he did. I have not been the most polite poster on ET as I have been quick to defend any statement or concept I believe in and at times defend them more vehemently than I should. But the sheer level of negativity from the worst offenders on here is truly horrendous. The jumping on a statement that we all understood in David's post -- one that was clearly meant to be helpful -- is far from the worst example I could have chosen yet it does illustrate how small an issue can be yet still be fodder for those who look for statements that could have been more complete. I have been here a few months and have found a number of posters I respect for both their substance and style. I might not yet have enough trading knowledge to deliver as much substance as they do but what I can do effectively is emulate their style. Going forward I will not reply to anyone who does not value civil discourse. I have been, I believe, largely polite; but I now realize that "largely polite" is the self-indulgent way out. The goal needs to be (and will be) polite -- period.

I assume I am the "French moron" that you reference. To set the record straight I am a New York moron. In order to make full disclosure, I admit I have visited Paris a few times and had quite a good time on each trip.

that just shows how little you know about trading. it's not totally false. if you are scalping for 4 ticks with 6 tick loss it's TOTALLY correct... A real trader would know this....
Only people who admit they are wrong will make it in this game - people who point out faults in what others post are stupid thick idiots and clearly show, by their own postings, that they know absolutely nothing about trading!!!!!
