    Quote from nitro:

Imo the statement "there will always be people willing" should be replaced by "there will always be people that have no choice".

    nitro

This statement by nitro sounds good, but lacks reasoning. If people had no choice, they would be doing the low wage work now, wouldn't they? Since they are not doing the work now, by logic they do have a choice.

  4. People that work for minimum wage do have a choice. They will always have a choice with the numerous social programs that we have. That's not to say that the other options are any better though. If I were in that situation, I would do everything in my power to provide for myself before I asked for government help. I imagine that many of them are the same way.

Even a minimum wage job provides dignity, a sense of purpose, and allows for the hope of advancement. So yes, it seems that they are still "willing" in the sense that there are other choices.

  5. First learn how to spell, second, I don't care about your opinion, it means nothing to me. I don't care about your reaction. Get the point? Instead of offering up some meaningless criticism, why don't you jump in on point here. Would you like me to email you some talking points so you can stay on topic?

As for you long term short...and let's see how long you can carry that "long term" short position. My guess is you'd be lucky to hold it for a few days, let alone a few years.

Good luck with your dollar short!

they have a choice among minimum wage jobsand may have refused a job above the minimum wage for various reasons. do people who work above the minimum have a choice. maybe they do or maybe family obligations force them into jobs they don't want etc.

Hey, everybody works. That's what human beings do. It is not supposed to be a choice or an option. If it's optional, that means someone else is working to support you.

I thought I already stated that everybody works, its not a choice for anybody. Where did you get the notion that only poor people have to work?
