  1. Huh????

George Bush is pissin off his whole party because of his policies on illegal aliens..... He is a friend of the mexican boarder crossers.... But you are right.... thank God only 2 more years... hopefully when we get a new president, be it Dem or Repub..... he/she will enforce our immigration policy!!

I say... ship them all back... if they're illegal, dont care what color their skin is... yellow, blue, white..... has to be the same for everyone. And Bush is showing no respect and screwing millions of immigrants that care here LEGALLY and followed the procedures!.... if he allows all the illegals to stay here.

Dont bother attacking me ... i dont care.... and am an immigrant that care here legally using the proper procedures. If i did it why cant others??

View it as a win-win situation. One side get the service and another side get a better life. Why can we be sure that the immigrants get a better life? First, the immigrants are not satisfied living in their native country for many reasons and more often than not, the political instability. For this reason we fled our lovely land seeking for a better place and we got it. Second, we'll not return back that is a proof supporting that we have a better life in USA and Canada compare to our native land. By the way, for your information I'm an immigrant as well, a naturalized Canadian citizen.

Considering the wealth in SoCal, I don't see why the legal citizens can't afford to keep proper medical centers running. I guess a new SUV is better than getting emergency medical care?

  4. Because hospitals are required by law to treat anyone who shows up. do you think you can build a members only hospital, like a golf club?

  5. That's ironic, you left Canada for the US, like my father, and I want to leave the US and get Canadian Citizenship, too funny.

I don't know what getting rid of all the illegals would do now. But in the long term, I'm thinking the effect will be quite negative. Though a lot of people would call that racist. I'd rather the USA bring in +50 million Chinese. A smart population group of whose people have performed very well in the US society so far... and millions of them already work for far lower wages than the illegals in the USA do. Considering China's population issues... send them over here please :)

I didn't say anything about members-only treatment centers. I just don't see why such a wealthy place is (supposedly) having trouble affording incredibly basic services for its citizens.

  7. But it's not a win/win. They lose their country. We lose our security. Getting a better life takes work and sacrifice. They can do that in MEXICO!

They can improve their whole country with effort and hard work. The determination that they invest in hiding and being illegal they could invest in making a difference, IN MEXICO!

GO BACK AND FIX MEXICO!!! :)

  8. We're not having trouble covering our citizens if you deny coverage to folks who stop in who are not citizens. That is unless they can afford the care.

Maybe that's the answer, if you are not able to pay and are illegally in the country you will be:

    a) cared for and sent back to your country
    b) not cared for at all

I'd say leave it as an option. Now, which solution is more to your liking? We offer care, but you have to go home. Or, you just kind of wander around and hope you don't get too sick before you get back home on your own. :)

In what way are we losing our security?
Are you sure that they can make a better life in Mexico? Maybe there is no available employment for them? Maybe their government hasn't done its job at providing them the oppurtunity to put them to work at developing Mexico?
And are they really 'investing' in being illegal and hiding? It seems more like they're trying to maximize their human capital.

If they could fix Mexico, they will. The word fix should be addressed to president Fox rather than to innocent people since only the president and his administration can do so. And if they already start to do it, it won't going to fix the next days. It will take many decades or even century.
