I got no problem with it. [/B][/QUOTE] make the hard decision ,the lawmakers holding the public trust must... what should be banned as a safety precaution? so far the bazooka and SAM missile do you recommend anything else?
Violent career criminals. And they should be publicly executed en masse. I guess you could call that a permanent ban. You mean firearms? I can see fully auto weapons being controlled/licensed but I see no reason to ban them. Why the childish exaggerations? I don't know of any second amendment advocate/supporter suggesting SAM missiles.
I own two of them. I also own nine semi-automatic handgans. All my guns are legal and registered as required. I was a competitive shooter for many years and for a while even made my own reload ammunition (with real gunpowder -- GASP!!!) to save money. What I don't understand is why you would even care. Am I a threat to you? If so, I can't figure out why. I'm a law abiding citizen, help my neighbors when they need it, give generously to charity, help my kids do their homework, and never cheat on my taxes. I've spent my entire life being an honest citizen and following the rules. Why are you so bent out of shape over what kind of guns I own?
I really appreciate it ... Just before your post I was dealing with a real Troll ... Thanks for being gracious.
Screw semi-automatic weapons, we should legalize fully automatic weapons. Do you love the country? Do you really believe in the 2nd amendment or just give lip service. If you don't agree with fully automatic weapons for the public you are a communist and a pussy.
What do you mean childish? Does not the 2nd amendment say " the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed " What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?? You either believe in the constitution as it was written or you don't. I guess you don't.
Actually automatic weapons manufactured and registered before May 19, 1986 can still be legally owned and transferred by US civilians.
Judging by this thread, I get the feeling that a number of you deep thinkers probably polish your weapons while viscerally enjoying an actioner on TV, wondering how cool it would be if only someone tried to burglarize your home. (Yeah, baby!) And then there would be the headlines, the fame, possibly television interviews. A book, maybe. A TV movie of the week? That would give life some real meaning, eh? Then you'd really be a somebody. Gun ownership: when vicarious thrills on TV are no longer enough. Go ahead, make it real.
This is the image the media portrays and many would like to believe. I was a competitive shooter for many years and know hundreds of gun owners. They're not anything like the stereotypes promoted by the gun-hating media. If you really want to know what gun owners are like, go to a shooting range, or better yet, a competition. Talk to gun owners and you'll discover that they're doctors, lawyers, plumbers, business executives, secretaries, store clerks and people that you have contact with every day, but have no idea that they own guns.
