I'm afraid you're right about taxes having to be raised. Honestly though, a modest 1-2% across the board raise would be more than enough if they hold down spending. I'm not even including cap gains, just income tax. That would bring an extra 50 billion annually, couple that with another 100 billion budget cut, wind down the war in iraq and we're golden in about 3-4 years.
You know the government is just going to f*ck this up too. Why not let capitalism work and let all the sh*t companies who are proven to be failures go BK. All of this bailout crap is just going to kill this country for the next 10 years, just like Japan.
