>>3 bedroom townhouse on the ocean in a gated community is $2,500; you can get stuff all the way down to $600<< Metooxx, that rent is that per week or per month ? Thanks, freealways
There is nothing on this island you want to buy; you want to be able to take your ball and move to another island on a whim ...
Metooxx - what is the school situation? Do you have kids or alternatively, what do the expats think/say about the local school system? Any concerns re: bringing a young family to Freeport or other Bahama locales? Thnks in advance.
Metooxx: Is the summer of Bahamas very hot and humid? Which parts of the New Prov island should be avoided? In addition to the rent, how much is needed to live there? Is $2000 per month for one person OK? Thanks!
But how do you become a permanent resident? What net worth do you need to qualify as a non working resident?
If you are serious about moving here you ought to talk to a lawyer. Here is a site which may answer a couple of your questions. http://www.bahamasb2b.com/financial/
kicking - i'm told it's not difficult as long as you are not asking for working privileges. you basically pay an annual fee for resident status w/o the right to work.
>>w/o the right to work<< I am assuming this means without he right to work in mainstream. In other words, if one is working for oneself, either trading from home or from an office OR if one creates a business one wouldn't necessarily be in breach of the law. Is this correct ? freealways
